Panty Trust started at the end of 2000/beginning of 2001 in the early days of used panty selling on the internet.

Panty Trust was initially just a thread in the panty forum area, and later a forum club called “Club Used Bras and Panties”, of one of the first auction sites started for selling adult goods and panties. At that time, selling used panties on the internet was a new concept.

Since standards and expectations had not been developed or considered yet within the fetish community, fraud, cheating, and scams were very prevalent.

Even the panty sellers who were genuine were often hit or miss in delivering the items panty buyers were purchasing. A group of Panty buyers began to discuss creating a list to share in the forum of sellers who, based upon their transactions with the seller, were reliable, ethical, friendly, honest, truthful, and fair. Several panty sellers in the forum at the time appreciated the fact that buyers complaining of getting scammed when buying used panties was bad for the business of all sellers. These sellers joined the group of buyers, and Panty Trust was formed.

Panty Trust (Club Used Bras and Panties) continued on informally in forum area for a time, however, as the used panties market continued to grow with new sales sites and panty sellers beginning to create their own, independent, individual websites for selling, the club members found that sellers and buyers wanted to expand the concept of trusted sellers beyond the single adult auction site where it started. In 2003, the group decided to create their own formal organization that would be independent of sales venue to allow it to serve buyers and sellers of used lingerie regardless of where they bought and sold.

The group came up with the name Panty Trust, created a website, developed criteria for assessment and membership, and the Panty Trust organization was officially born. Since the early days as a simple thread in a forum, Panty Trust has continued to grow and changes and improvements along the way have been voted on and implemented by its own members.

The original desires of the founding members though has always, and will always, remain the focus of the organization – to provide a safe and satisfying transactions for used panties buyers and panty sellers.

Sadly for our used panties fetish community, the Alertpay situation has gotten much to the point where Alertpay has practically become a redundant method of payment.

A few weeks ago we were made aware of how Alertpay stopped accepting credit cards due to their CC processors polices being reassessed, tragically Alertpay has now lost their banking abilities too.

This means that used panty buyers can no longer transfer funds between their bank and their Alertpay account, and that the only way to add money to an Alertpay account at this time is to go to a bank and pay a bank to wire money to Alertpay.

This can cost the account holder anything between $20 and $30, a very expensive options which understandably not many people are willing to explore. As a result used panty buyers can’t pay panty sellers because they can no longer transfer money into their Alertpay for free, and Panty Trust applicants can no longer transfer balance to their Alertpay account to pay their Panty Trust membership deposit and fees.

Panty Trust is currently investigating alternative online processor to replace Alertpay, in the mean time, the recommended methods of payments to buy and sell used panties are Bank Transfers/ BACS (UK only, fast and 100% secure), cheques, postal orders, US money orders or well concealed cash.

Further more, to facilitate new members’ fee payments, Panty Trust is temporarily suspending the requirement for $5 fee deposit and will accept one final payment of $50 / £30 /€ 35 at the end of the assessment process when the applicant membership is fully approved and in place.

Paypal – this is a definate no no when it comes to panty payments all across the world. Paypal do not allow payments relating to adult themed items. If you are caught using Paypal then you and the buyer can be fined and suspended from paypal. If a buyer tries to persuade you to accept Paypal please do not agree. It is just not worth the consequences. There are lots of payment methods around that are just as easy and alot safer.

BACS – Direct bank transfer, this is great for payments within the UK. The buyer can send money direct from their bank account into yours. it is also private and very safe. all the buyer needs from you is your account number, sort code and payment amount, nothing else is needed. If the buyer demands other information such as your name or bank name DO NOT give it to them. they do not need it.
Bacs payments are 100% yours as the banks do not charge a receiving or withdrawal fee.

Gift Certificates – this is another great way of accepting payment for your panties. The most popular certificate used is Amazon gift certificates. When you and your buyer agree on a price for your panties, your buyer will purchase an online gift certificate and the amount will be emailed through to you. the only information your buyer need is your email address.
If you are to accept Amazon gift certificates as payment remember to tell your buyer that you require Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com gift certs.
You can then use your gift certificates to buy things for yourself or even more panties

Postal payments – Postal payments include cash, cheques or postal orders sent to either a specified address or a particular PO BOX. I would not say that postal payments are not very safe. there are a number of things that could go wrong. the buyer would know your address. most buyers are great and would not use your address in the wrong way but I am afraid there is the odd strange person out there in the world. Another is that post can go missing. it wouldn’t be great if your payment was to go missing in the post would it.

Actually here the situation is a bit more complicated than the rest of the world, maybe because few Westerner banks has branches here…

First of here is the list of methods that here are not available, or if available, are practically unusable:
Any kind of gift certificate (if I should spend gift certs on Amazon for example, I should buy something from them -Amazon payment is not active here- with huge shipment, tax and duty costs!)
Postal Payment
Postal or Money order

Following a brief list of the methods, with a comment for each one.

Besides their problem with CC transactions in Adult involved payments * (read more below), the big problem here is that they allow ONLY Wire Transfer for withdrawal. Their Transfer to CC is inactive since April, I contacted them many times but their reply is always “We still don’t know when will be available again (?!?!?)”…
This makes a big down for Asian users. Wire Transfer costs 15 (fifteen!) USD and in the best case it take 5 working days to be accredited on Bank Account… Considering also their high fees, it makes things quite hard.

Bank Transfer
Generally slow, very expensive and personal data must be given to buyer, included all coordinates of bank account.

Western Union – Moneygram
Pros – Immediate transfer, plenty of agencies throughout all Asia (especially Western Union)
Cons – Personal data must be given to Buyer (Name, Surname and City), high fees on Buyer, foreign exchange rate ridiculous (especially Western Union)

iKobo (http://www.ikobo.com) / AtmCash (http://www.atmcash.com) – JUST FROM USA
I used the first just once for a normal money transfer from USA to here, and it worked just great!
On the first transfer, they will send by FedEx (iKobo with a fee, AtmCash for free) to the money recipient. Then the recipient (once received the pin by email) will withdraw money from any Visa enabled ATM.
Pros: fast (just 3 times for card delivery first time, then instant transfer), very convenient and easy, buyer can pay by CC or Bank account!
Cons: Personal data must be sent to Buyer (it has a workaraound anyway), works just from USA, not popular.

After months of credit cards payment issues and third parties services withdrawals, Alertpay has followed PayPal policies and finally confirmed that they will no longer allow adult material/services transactions, including used panties sales and memberships payment for adult/fetish orientated websites.

As we have discovered, Alertpay is no longer allowing credit cards to be used for adult transactions. This is not Alertpay’s fault, this is merely down to the credit cards companies not being able to cover or insure such type of transactions. You could say its down to the underwriters.

What does this mean to used panties buyers and sellers?
It means that when you open an Alertpay account:

• you will only able to use it by moving an existing balance from one account to another (this is free for sellers and buyers)
• you will not be able to pay a panty seller with your credit card or accept payment by a credit card
• you will not be able to upgrade to a business account
• you will not be able to trade under a different name other then your real name.

Is it still worth opening an account?
Yes definitely! Alertpay is still the only online processors who hasn’t banned adult transactions and its still the most used within the panty fetish industry, by both panty buyers and panty sellers all over the world.

All you need is to keep a positive balance in your account (you can do this by transferring money to your AP account from your bank or credit card) and not be worried about your name being visible.

Having said this, things may change in the future, if they do, we will keep you posted.
