What is Panty Trust?

Panty Trust is an organization that works to better the used panties community by promoting trust between buyer and seller of used panties and fetish items. Panty Trust promotes trust between panty buyer and panty seller in multiple ways. Most commonly by promoting individuals that adhere to a strict and ethical standard of fair business practices, by providing, independent, third-party dispute resolution services, and through providing educational material and information aimed at helping panty buyers and sellers to have fair, safe transactions, alerting the used /panty community to problems that could effect the their well being or transactions, and by ensuring that its members set the bar as role models for the used panties and fetish community.

History? How Did Panty Trust Get Started? Why Was It Needed?

Panty Trust started at the end of 2000/beginning of 2001 in the early days of used panty selling on the internet. Panty Trust was initially just a thread in the forum area, and later a forum club called "Club Used Bras and Panties", of one of the first auction sites started for selling adult goods and panties. At that time, selling used lingerie on the internet was a new concept. Since standards and expectations had not been developed or considered yet, fraud, cheating, and scams were very prevalent. Even the sellers who were genuine were often hit or miss in delivering the items buyers were purchasing. A group of Panty buyers began to discuss creating a list to share in the forum of sellers who, based upon their transactions with the seller, were reliable, friendly, honest, truthful, and fair. Several sellers in the forum at the time appreciated the fact that buyers complaining of getting scammed when buying used panties and fetish items was bad for the business of all panty sellers. These fetish sellers joined the group of buyers, and Panty Trust was formed.

Panty Trust (Club Used Bras and Panties) continued on informally in forum area for a time, however, as the used lingerie market continued to grow with new sales sites and sellers beginning to create their own, independent, individual websites for selling, the club members found that sellers and buyers wanted to expand the concept of trusted sellers beyond the single adult auction site where it started. In 2003, the group decided to create their own formal organization that would be independent of sales venue to allow it to serve buyers and sellers of used panties regardless of where they bought and sold. The group came up with the name Panty Trust, created a website, developed criteria for membership, and the Panty Trust organization was officially born. Since the early days as a simple thread in a forum, Panty Trust has continued to grow and changes and improvements along the way have been voted on and implemented by its members. The original desires of the founding members though has always, and will always, remain the focus of the organization - to provide a safe and satisfying transactions for used lingerie buyers and sellers.

Who owns and runs Panty Trust?

Panty Trust is owned and operated by its members. When a used panties seller becomes a member of Panty Trust, they become an owner of the organization. Members of Panty Trust volunteer their time and skills to handle the various aspects of running the organization. Members of the Panty Trust organization each have an equal vote, and and equal say, into the organization and the organizations actions.

Can a Man Become a Panty Trust Member?

Yes, but not in the sense where a male used panties buyer would have a seal and verified member page. There are men who sell their used, worn, personal items on the internet and if that were the case for a man, he could join as a selling member. There are opportunities for men at Panty Trust in the non-seller members. Established, male, used panties buyers who are willing to volunteer their time and skills in assisting with the running of Panty Trust are always welcome. Panty Trust also welcomes men to apply for seats on the Panty Trust executive board of directors. If you are a man who would like to offer your assistance with Panty Trust, please do not hesitate to let us know.

What Happens If I Have a Problem With a Transaction With a Panty Trust Member?

Panty Trust members are throughly screened prior to being granted membership in the organization. Therefore, problem transactions are very rare. However, Panty Trust members are human and mis-communication can happen at any time. If you have a problem with a Panty Trust member, the first thing to do is to contact the seller directly for assistance. If that fails, you can complete the dispute resolution form on the Panty Trust website. The details on this form are sent to Panty Trust who then contact the member on your behalf. The Panty Trust dispute resolution team will act as a mediator and communicate with you and the member to come up with a solution that is fair to both parties (both parties must agree to the resolution to have it considered resolved). Panty Trust members agree when they join to participate in this process and and to respond to buyer complaints submitted to Panty Trust within 48 hours. If a member fails to respond, or fails to participate in the process, their Panty Trust membership can be suspended or permanently revoked dependent on the circumstance. 99% of the buyer complaints that are received by Panty Trust are simple mis-communication problems that are quickly solved by opening up an impartial dialog with both parties. Therefore, Panty Trust encourages all members and buyers to always communicate during a transaction to avoid having one of the members begin to worry that something is amiss.

Is Joining Panty Trust Hard/Scary?

No, Panty Trust members genuinely enjoy what they do and tend to be "people people". Members of Panty Trust are very friendly and will do everything they can to get you set up and welcomed to the organization. If you've read through the Panty Trust Code of Conduct and you have determined that you are a used lingerie seller that wants to help make the world's used lingerie community a great place, then Panty Trust will be happy to have you on board!

Is My Personal Information Safe With Panty Trust?

It couldn't be any safer because Panty Trust does not collect personal information. A major tenet of Panty Trust is promoting the safety and security of the people in the used lingerie community. Panty Trust believes that the surest way to keep your personal information safe is to not have it bouncing around the internet in the first place. Therefore, Panty Trust never has, and never will, ask you for personal information such as your full name, address, phone number, etc. Unfortunately, phishing scams do exist. If you are contacted by someone claiming to be from Panty Trust and asking for your personal information, do not provide it to them

Does Panty Trust Only Accept Members From Certain Countries?

No, Panty Trust is a global organization with members from all corners of the world.

Does Panty Trust Recruit or Ask Sellers To Join? Is There a Membership Quota?

No, Panty Trust does not recruit or solicit members. Panty Trust is committed to having only members who have an inner drive within themselves to want to promote trust through membership in Panty Trust. Panty Trust's founders said when they created the organization that if there were only one honest used lingerie seller and she was a member of Panty Trust, having one member would be fine with them.

Is It Possible To Find An Honest, Fair Seller Who Isn't a Member of Panty Trust?

Of course. Although finding one is a 50/50 luck of the draw. You send the seller your money and hope. When buying from a Panty Trust member, you don't have to gamble with your money.

What Does Panty Trust Do With the Panties Sent in By Applicants?

This along with: "Does Panty Trust sniff, fondle, etc. the panties sent in?" are among the most frequently asked of Panty Trust. The answer is not all that exciting. When an applicant for Panty Trust membership mails in her item, she mails it to another Panty Trust member/seller who volunteers to accept items in her area of the world. The receiving member is a female panty seller, not a male buyer. Truthfully, in many cases, the member receiving the item prefers not to even handle the item, let alone use it in a sexual manner. Therefore, Panty Trust requests that the item sent in be sent in clear Ziploc-type baggie. This allows the member to verify that the item matches the item in the applicant's photo without having to open/handle the item. Once verified, the item is put in the trash or sent back to the applicant if requested. This is why Panty Trust always encourages applicant's to send an inexpensive item without spending a lot of time "preparing" it. It is a simple visual check by someone who has no interest in it otherwise.

Does Panty Trust Ever Refuse a Person Membership In Panty Trust?

The goal of Panty Trust is to promote trust and fair business practices. If an issue is noticed when an applicant applies, the applicant is made aware of the issue and provided an explanation and assistance on how to fix the problem so that she can provide the best experience to buyers. Once remedied, the applicant is happily accepted into Panty Trust. Truly bad or fraudulent sellers tend to avoid Panty Trust so they are not usually an issue. However, yes, on rare occasions, Panty Trust has had to refuse a membership to an applicant. Panty Trust takes every application very seriously. When Panty Trust refuses a membership it is because something has been found in an applicant's sales history and/or business practices that is so out of line with honest and fair business practices, and so dangerous to buyers that it is something that cannot be corrected. A majority of the several hundred Panty Trust members must vote against granting membership to an individual for Panty Trust to issue the final decision. If you consider the difficulty that a jury of twelve people has in reaching a decision, you can appreciate that if several hundred of the applicant seller's peers voted to refuse the her membership, the problem was so significant that Panty Trust could not, in good conscience, recommend the applicant to buyers.

Does Panty Trust Provide a List of Persons Refused Membership?

Panty Trust's focus is on recognizing and promoting the positive aspects of the used lingerie business. Therefore, Panty Trust does not publish a list of sub-par or problem sellers. Instead, Panty Trust recommends that buyers focus on the active Panty Trust members for the best panty buying experience.

Several People Sell On My Website, Can I Get My Website "Verified"?

No. Due to the nature of Panty Trust, Panty Trust memberships are for individual people only.

Why Should Panty Trust Members Be Able To Say Who Is and Who Isn't a Good Seller?

Panty Trust does not recognize people who are not good sellers, only those who are. Panty Trust uses very objective criteria in a transparent process. As far as whether Panty Trust members are qualified to determine who is a trustable and reliable seller of used lingerie, who would be better to make that determination than several hundred of the sellers peers and buyers who interact directly with the seller themselves?

Does Panty Trust Force Sellers To Sell at Certain Places?

No. You can find Panty Trust members selling at any number of sales sites, on their personal websites and blogs, and anywhere else that selling is permitted. Panty Trust members cooperate and converse with each other. If you happen to see a large amount of Panty Trust sellers selling on a particular website, it usually means that the a member has passed the word to other members that the specific site is a great place to sell.

Is Panty Trust Owned By Twitter, Adult Video News, Panty Hog, Facebook, Etc.?

No. By design, Panty Trust is its own entity. It is owned entirely by its members. You may see Panty Trust posting announcements and updates elsewhere on the internet, but that is simply because the sites are designed for and accept updates and news from organizations such as Panty Trust.

I've Come Across Negative Opinions About Panty Trust, Why?

Panty Trust is a decade old consumer advocacy organization that promotes trust on the internet. Panty Trust's services better the experience of all used lingerie buyers and sellers regardless of whether they are Panty Trust members by setting the bar for expected service standards. Most people would be hard-pressed to come up with an explanation of how anyone could find Panty Trust's mission to be a negative thing as it is essentially saying that you are against fairness and honesty in used lingerie transactions. Panty Trust's existence does bite into the profits of scammers, and the success of would be "competitors" of Panty Trust which causes frustration for them. Over the past ten years, Panty Trust has also had to revoke a few memberships or deny membership to applicants that don't meet expected standards of used panties selling which sometimes results in frustrated, disgruntled people sowing sour grapes.

How Can I Know If A Panty Trust Seal Is Real And Valid?

Click on it. Every active member of Panty Trust has a corresponding seal verification page on the Panty Trust website. If you don't find a page on Panty Trust verifying that the seller displaying the seal is a member of Panty Trust, it is a fake. Please report it to Panty Trust.
